I don’t know about others, but it’s always been a challenge to create handmade jewelry for men especially since I’m a woman. But I like taking on the challenge, and it’s always a creative endeavor to make the design “manlier” but still keep a woman’s touch.
I created this piece for someone who wears a lot of silver jewelry, but wanted to try something that looked a little more vintage and organic. I feel that the metal will complement all his other jewelries, and since I made it using genuine leather the length is also completely adjustable. The client loves it, and thinks that it pretty much goes with every other tshirt that he wears!
I have a friend who works at Fresher Cleaning, a Vancouver house cleaning company. She’s a complete neat freak and is totally bonkers when it comes to cleaning (she even makes her own custom cleaning agents to clean her house with), so naturally she really loves her work and prides herself in making her clients happy. I decided to make her a custom piece to celebrate her working for an entire year with the company.
I chose green because not only is that part of the cleaning company’s colors (thus complimenting what she wears to work) but it also reflects her green, “save Mother Earth” attitude. She loves it, and she tells me that one of her Richmond house cleaning clients complimented her bracelet quite nicely!
Yes peeps, that’s a fully functional pipe disguised within one pretty badass bracelet. When I saw this, I just *had* to have it. I just wish I thought about it first!
These bracelets/pipes are all hand made, and each bracelet is painstakingly woven into the beautiful piece of art that it is. Basically, it’s a pipe bowl that’s connected to a bendable tube. Then they braid it and put smell proof beads to hide the burnt smell. It’s perfect for those who travel a lot but don’t want to take a glass pipe with you (and potentially get questioned by airport security!) because it’s as low-key as it can possibly get! Depending on your wrist size, you can buy one in three sizes.
